Add value - we believe that all tours need to add value. You would have problems doing the tours that we provide by yourself.
Helpfulness - we genuinely want each of our customers to have a great experience with us, and we take pride in the positive feedback in person, in the media, online and on our facebook page.
Reliability - we reply to emails quickly and turn up on time.
Honesty - we will inform and give you advice which is in your best interests- we won't sell you anything that you don't want. If we make a mistake, we will admit it and where necessary compensate you for any inconvenience caused.
Putting money back - we believe in putting money back into the communities that we visit. 80% of profits after tax go to Reality Gives- our sister NGO which supports projects to improve the quality of lives in our communities
We show the most fascinating places in the city and state. Each tour is comprised of hand-picked spots and experiences that you won't normally find in your guide book.
We don't overload you with historical information. History is provided and is an important part of the tour, but we like to focus on issues that are affecting India and its people in the present.
Money from the tours goes to support the activities of our sister organization
Reality Gives - an
NGO supporting projects to improve the quality of lives in our underprivileged communities. Reality Gives itself currently runs projects such as a progressive kindergarten,
a community centre for young adults, and English language support in a local government school:
there's an opportunity to visit the kindergarten and community centre on our
Dharavi tours (subject to conditions.
We cater to all budgets. Reality Tours understands that some of our guests will be budget,
backpack travellers, and that others prefer more facilities. Our pricing is extremely competitive:
no matter who you are, we have a tour for you.
Tipping etiquette is often unclear : should I give a tip? How much should I give? To who, and when? Reality Tours
has a clear policy on tips. There is no obligation to tip, but those that want can discreetly put an amount
(we suggest that 10% of tour cost is a generous amount) in an envelope at the end of the tour.
What our guests think is important to us, because we always want to improve. Reality Tours asks
for your opinions in the form of a questionnaire after the tour, which allows us to evaluate our
performance and make changes for the better.
